Dr. Randall Haveman - started Sunnyside Veterinary Hospital in 1984 and this is his thirtieth year in practise.  He lives on the family farm out of Newberg.  Dr. Haveman attended Newberg High School, obtained a BA in Biology from Linfield College, an MS in Veterinary Parasitology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry from Oregon State University, and a DVM from Colorado State University.  Dr. Haveman teaches Veterinary Parasitology and Pathology at Portland Community College in the Veterinary Technology Program.  He has taught there for twenty three years.  He loves being a Veterinarian and has a particular interest in surgery, small animal reproduction, parasitology, zoonoses, and exotic animal medicine.  He enjoys the Steens Mountains, photography, music, dancing, and fishing in his spare time. 




Dr. Sandra Sherman - shares her busy life with her husband, two dogs (Daphne and Grant, seen below playing and herding sheep), five cats, a horses and a pony. She has been a practicing veterinarian for thirty years, ten years here at Sunnyside Veterinary Hospital.  She truly understands the special bond we develop with our pets.

She has drawn and painted since she was a child. Animals have always been her favorite subjects so specializing in painting pet portraits evolved naturally. She gravitated toward watercolor because she enjoys the special challenges painting with watercolor presents. She draws all of her subjects freehand, using a photo or a set of photographs for reference.  Check out her website below:
